OUR Story

Barista hand-pouring water over a Chemex

Since 2013

STARTED WITH ONE MACHINE AND A Stubborn IDEA

Amber began as a single espresso machine in a rented corner unit, run by two friends who thought their neighborhood deserved a better cup.

Twelve years later, that machine has grown into a full kitchen and wine list — but the standard hasn't moved. We still roast in small batches, still pull every shot to order, and still believe a good table is a place, not just a product.

✦ Our craft

EVERY BAG, ROASTED WITH INTENTION

We work directly with small farms across three continents, paying above fair-trade rates for lots we roast in-house every week.

It's more work — but it means every cup tastes like where it came from, and every bag you take home was roasted days, not months, ago.

✦ The kitchen

AN OPEN KITCHEN, A SHORT SEASONAL MENU

Our chefs change the dinner menu with the seasons — nothing frozen, nothing shipped further than it has to be.

The same care that goes into a cortado goes into a seared salmon or a glass of natural wine. One kitchen, one standard, from breakfast through last call.

✦ Why Amber

WHAT WE STAND Behind

Amber is a neighborhood café and kitchen built around one idea — that a great cup and a great meal should come from the same care, whatever hour you walk in.

1

Direct trade

We buy from farms we've visited, at prices we've agreed on together — not commodity rates.

2

Roasted weekly

Small batches, every week, so nothing sits on a shelf losing its character.

3

Seasonal kitchen

Menus shift with the seasons — nothing frozen, nothing shipped further than it has to be.

4

Made to linger

No time limits, no rush. Our rooms are built for staying a while.
